I'm currently in Sweden and I am not part of a gym (yet). I enjoy working out everyday, however my body is the type of body that if i dont do very heavy weight, i dont see much result. I'm tall and built like a soccer player, but i still want a larger, stronger chest. I have 2 dumbbells i bought, each about 25lbs (unfortunately). Back home i would do bench press and dumbbell presses with a large amount of weight (ex. 80lbs in each hand or 200lbs on bench)...but now all i can do is little dumbell flys (lying down on the floor) and a large amount of pushups. Will i succeed in building a larger chest by doing these? Or must i have a gym with a large rack of weight? Thank you
Best answer:
You'll succeed in building a largest chest if you keep on pushing yourself to your limits. Do wide and narrow pushups alternatively..also, do incline and reverse pushups. Keep doing your dumbell flies routine. Have someone sit or lie on you while doing pushups to increase the load. You just have to keep "surprising" your muscles with different routines. It won't be as good as a gym with a large rack of weights, but it should help you get by. After all, success in body building isn't how much weight you can lift, but how you're using these weight to meet your goal of having a well sculpted body.
