Question by Trouble: Asking for suggestions on my meal plan...............?
Hey everyone!! I will tell you the truth I am obese (4'11" 230 lbs) but until my health started deteriorating and I was required to start on insulin for type 2 diabetes I was okay with who I am. I am now concerned with getting healthy as much as I am with losing weight. I have spent the last several weeks working on a change (I refuse to diet anymore) in my eating that I could live with. This was a good day for me. Tell me what you think of my new meal plan and please feel free to add any changes or additions you think I should make.
Fluids: Before each meal: 1 cup hot lemon water w/1 TSP honey
With each meal/snack: 20 oz (or more) water
After each meal: 1 cup herbal tea no sweetener
At snack time: 1 cup hot OS Organic Pure Cranberry juice heated with 1 cup water and 2 TSP Sugar-Free Apple Cider Mix (to take out the bitterness of the cranberry juice)

Breakfast: 1 serving Flax Meal Peanut Butter Hot Cereal Recipe w/ 2 chopped prunes and 1/4 cp blueberries
1 sliced tomato
1 banana or tangerine
8 oz skim milk
______________________________________...
Snack: 4 celery sticks w/ 2 TBSP Smart Balance PB
______________________________________...
Lunch: Homemade Veg Soup made w/ organic low sodium veggie stock
1 cup red beans and rice (haven't found a good home recipe yet so I am using Glory's brand canned Red Beans & Rice)
Salad w 1 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
1 serving SF jello
______________________________________...
Snack: 1 apple
4 celery sticks w/ 2 wedges Light Laughing Cow cheese
______________________________________...
Dinner: Vegetable Soup and Salad (as above for lunch)
1 small pouch Chicken of the Sea Salmon (1 pouch =1 serving)
1 serving SF Jello
Dessert: 10 seedless grapes (frozen)
1 serving of low cal homemade Hot Chocolate (made with skim milk, 1/2 TBSP cocoa, 1TBSP sugar)

Along with this I will be increasing my physical activity slowly but surely. I will start out with 10 minutes a day of Walk Away the Pounds Aerobics and 5 minutes easy toning. I want to add 5 minutes to my time each week until I build myself up without burning myself out.
So any suggestions? I appreciate all the help guys!!
Okay so far THANX so much to Dave for the encouragement !!! And to Michael for the suggestions and because of the great observations I am making a change to the following:
1)Breakfast: Replace the PB Hot cereal with either plain oatmeal with flax seed, prunes and blueberries or 1/2 cup egg beaters with chopped mushrooms and chopped peppers
2) I will no longer add honey with my lemon water tea
3)will cut the hot chocolate down to 3x a week
And sorry I can't say for sure on the SF jello but I will only have the SF jello as a just in case filler. Not necessary everyday.
I appreciate any other suggestions!!!
