I'm currently in high school as a junior this year, and I'm planning to lose thirty pounds by my senior year in july of 2009. I'm 5'7 at 180 pounds. anyone have any tips to lose 30-40 pounds within ten months and how to keep the weight off ? thanks in advance for the advice and tips !

my dad went on the south beach diet. he lost 40 pounds, and has kept it off for over 5 years. just follow the plan it and you'll lose it. however, you have to be pretty disciplined. if you buy the south beach diet book, it has lots of food recipes for you. good luck! hope this helps!

you also have to exercise regularly. try running 3 miles 3 times a week, then adding in more exercises over time. swimming is good too.
