Saliva: Weight of the World Lyrics

The song Weight of the world from the album Back into your System by Saliva. Lyrics are in the video, but are also below. I DO NOT OWN THE SONG OR THE LYRICS! COMPLETELY FAN-MADE! Love to be beside you, The way you smell The way your lips feel, and your fingernails The way your fingers crawl up my spine The way you always make me last in line [chorus] I carry the weight of the world as the past is unfurled But I won't stop to wonder Going through this life on my own made me cold as a stone I'm a ship going under And I'd tell you this but I don't know how I'm caving in and I'm falling out and I can't resist And I can't rebound with the weight of the world as the world falls down It's the way you thrill me, then pull away The way you seem to kill me a little more each day And it's what you're thinking in your twisted mind The way your body trembles when it's next to mine [repeat chorus] This pain I think about it everyday, It tells me I'm never gonna get away I know it's over, but I can't escape memories and how to face another day [repeat chorus]

Question by lonesomemunkey123: Can anyone out there help give me more inspiration to stay true to my weight loss goals?
I am an 18 year old girl, and I weigh 240 pounds. Im aware I did this to myself, but I am fighting to gain my life back. My best friend died in my freshman year in high school, and eating was the escape that I found. So far, I have been able to lose 20 pounds by myself, but I want to be able to get healthy and enjoy these years of my life. I want to be happy again.

Best answer:
When I picked up surfing, it changed my attitude and my life.

Surfing is an activity that is so fricken fun that it is basically exercise in disguise.

Find something like that for you. Take up an activity. Try new things. Get involved with groups. Find activities that are very inclusive of larger individuals who might be slower. (Team sports can be frustrating when there is an overweight person involved because those people generally cannot operate at the same pace).

Try something fun in a group that will allow you to take your time.

* Yoga
* Capoeira

Yoga is fun and definitely relaxing. I would suggest trying lower levels at first, but definitely progress up to the harder stuff so that you get some intense cardio and sweating going on.

Capoeira is a more fluid version of yoga, in terms of constant motion. There's not a lot of isometric stuff like yoga, you're in motion most of the time. More dynamic.

If you prefer to do something solitary, I highly suggest an activity involving water. Go swimming. Do laps. Try to walk/run while waist/chest deep in a pool. Try to tread water for a really long time, or swim continuously for 15-30 minutes. Swim with fins on.

Most of all, try to be a kid about it. Don't go through the motions. If you're not having fun, don't do it. Focus on the fun, and the rest will come.

ALSO - keep a diet that follows the principle of "only take what you need". If you don't exercise, you shouldn't be eating excessively. If you do exercise, you'll need to be sure to match the calories from food to the calories burned in exercise. It's all about the difference, or deficit, or however you want to look at it. Wherever there's excess in food intake, it will probably convert to fat and get stored in your body as adipose tissue, and even worse the fat could line your internal organs.
