Assisted Pull-Up Machine
She's heavy. She's metal. For less you know I'd never settle. And when I feel the lift of her bar, I feel it down to my spleen. She's my assisted pull-up machine. Try to measure my devotion in pounds and ounces. My lats and biceps ripple as the weight stack bounces. And when I feel the lift of her bar, I feel it down to my spleen. She's my assisted pull-up machine. Dip rack. Squat rack. Latissimus dorsi.

Question by jaseman_17: Is the lat pull down weight machine effective for building your muscles to do a regular pull up?
The gym I am going to has a pull up bar (I cannot do any pull ups) and a lat pull down machine but unfortunately no assisted pull ups machine. Is the lat pull down an effective way to build the muscles to do a regular pull up? Right now I use 1/3 my weight and 12 reps with 2 sets (rest in between). When I can do that easily, the 12 reps at 1/3 my weight, I am going to increase the weight until I can do that easily then increase it again etc.......will this be effective?
