I really need to start working out to get in shape for the sports I play and i was looking at gym memberships. The cheapest one that's fairly close to me is the YMCA and that is $ 465 for the first year and $ 385 every year after that. So I was wondering if with that same money it would be worth it to get a dumbell-barbell set (~160 lbs), a bench (with a rack for pressing and leg developer/preacher), a mat, and a pull up bar instead? Would I miss out on too many exercises if i had my own home gym with that stuff (only free weights)? (im just looking to weight train btw, i do my aerobic exercises on my treadmill and outside im 16). Thanks!
in addition to the main question i just want to add...
Will i be missing out on too many exercises if i only have dumbells and a barbell (free weights)?!?!?!
