Question by christine: looking for recommendations on a really good weight bench?
Hi, I'm trying to find a weight bench for my husband as a gift. I'm looking for one that is around $ 100 (without weights) that has the flat, incline, and decline positions, preacher curl bar, overhead barbell, and leg developer. Can anyone recommend a good sturdy one around that price range? I'm hoping to find an olympic weight bench of some kind because i've heard those are really sturdy and strong, but all recommendations are welcome.

Best answer:
Well the problem is you get what you pay for, and it is highly unlikely that you will find anything new that meets those requirements. Any of the PowerHouse and Weider stuff is generally not bad, that new in the stores even on a great sale your still up over 400 dollars the cage and an adjustable bench. Your best bet is to go the used route, hop on Craig's list people are always trying to get rid of exercise equipment as they don't want reminders of their failures around their house.

Good Luck
