I started my diet July 11 I weighed 183 lbs. I now weigh 156 lbs. I was losing weight like crazy, now I cant seem to. I am still dieting and trying to increase my daily activity.

You've hit a plateau. Change up your training and start adding more negative calorie foods to your diet. Try the Fat X workouts. The videos are free to watch.

Ladies - Lose Weight like a Man

One of the best ways to lose weight is first to be sure you are going to do something about it. Second, believe that you can and will lose weight and third, see it through and don't quit. Then turn the heat up and it's no holds barred!

Women are different to men and there's no getting away from it. Just as there's no getting away from the fact that women actually do have a harder time when it comes to losing weight - especially when the fourth decade commences.

The best way to increase, or improve your metabolism is to put your physical training into overdrive. Now that sounds tough, but it isn't as tough as it may sound.

The idea is simple and it works. When training, make sure to have periods of repetitive high speed work outs that are followed by periods of low activity, or short rests. The low periods of activity can be very low depending on the person's constitution, from jogging on the spot, walking slowly in a circle or back and forth, followed by the same kind of high intensity workouts, and repeat. This is commonly known as interval training.

Interval training really does increase the burning of calories, for up to several hours after training has ended. For calorie counters, a good half hour workout could see you waving goodbye to around 400 calories!

Ladies, if the neighbours' dog showed its teeth, and growled when it saw you, would you try and pat the thing on the head? Of course not! So, using the angry dog for our scenario, compare carbohydrates as the thing that wants to harm you. Stay away from carbs!

It's a fact that your husband or partner can easily lose a few pounds when you introduce a healthier menu for the household, but when you step on the scales the only thing you may lose is your willpower, or even your temper, because the scale hasn't budged since the last time you weighed yourself.

It goes without saying, it takes perseverance, will power and the right food stuffs, and it is also very important to drink sufficient water every day, not only when you are thirsty. However, never think you have failed, or you are not trying hard enough if you hit a period where your weight stands still, because it is a proven fact that men lose weight easier than women!

Should you be trying to lose weight together with your partner, or other members of your family, in the comfort of your own home, then level the playing field a little so you do not feel you are always fighting an uphill battle.The way to be on more equal terms with your other half is to concentrate on the inches you lose as opposed to your actual body weight loss. To do this, just use a good old fashioned tape measure.

Remember, it is not illegal to weigh too much, nor is it punishable to slidebackwards once in a while. Do not turn your weight loss into a crusade, it is just a job.
