I'm reading Bridget Jone's diary at the moment, and she's constantly obsessing about her weight, and saying that she's 9 stone odd. I looked it up and apparently 9 stone is about 57 kilograms- this can't be right, can it? If she's in her 30's, 57 is underweight, isn't it?
Best answer:
One stone equals 14 lbs., therefore 9 stone = 126 lbs. or 57.27 Kg. Her height would determine over/underweight more than her age. 9 stone at 5' is overweight; at 6' it is underweight.
