This is a useful and simple snare mechanism. It can be used as the primary trigger for any number of traps, baited, tripwire, or even foot pressure activated. It is an excellent survival trap design, though the tree spring noose trap uses less rope so may be a better choice in some situations. Only this trap may be used for fish or turtles however.
