How much weight should i attempt for standing shoulder press?

Question by Aint nothing but a peanut: How much weight should i attempt for standing shoulder press?
I normally seated shoulder press for the shoulder workout today the gym is closed early so i working out in a residents gym near they dont have the rack so i have to clean it up and press it.

I only have done standing one time before 95*12

For seated here are my sets

95 warm up

135*12

155*10

185*6-10( with a little help from spotter)
I dont use legs when doing thing i just clean it from the down and press it

I did 115*6 today for the last set tried to clean 135 but didnt get it.May be it is because i am new to the exercise.

I could easily do 12 reps with 135 when i do seated and 10 reps with 155,185 if i have a spotter the best was 10.
see thats what i am telling you i have bought pills like that before.Didnt do much for me.May be that reps u got before was just because u were strong that day.I have days like that where i feel like i can bench press 400lbs and weak days where i feel like i cant even press 200lbs.

Best answer:
Normally one can military press more weight than they can seated press, so I would say go with your seated press' highest set. It may be harder simply because your not used to the movement, which in that case means to go lower and lower till your comfortable.
