Put to the Test: Cargo Straps
Mac's founder Colin McLemore spends some time in the test shop, punishing cargo straps in the testing machine to see how much weight competing straps and Mac's straps will take to fail. The results will surprise you
Question by jaimelutter: How can I make a weight Suit that will spread around my entire body?
Hi, Im trying to figure out a way to make a suit that adds weight to your body (sort of like strap on weights only all over your body) as a way to help me train. I wanted to make one with sand as the weight, but I thought that I would then need a material that would make shure that the sand wouldnt leak out, and that would get really expensive. Also the material would have to be thick and with sand between it I wouldnt be able to move. So I was wonder if anyone might know where to buy one, has ever made one, or may just know a good dense material that I could place between a fabric, and keep mobility? And also, what the best material would to use, something thats not very thick to also keep mobility, yet will not tear too easily, and, hopefully, is not extremely expensive. Also I how safe would it be to wear the suit? Im worried that, since it would be like increasing gravity, if it would deteriorate my bones.
Best answer:
Why don't you just buy some leg and arm weights??
So much easier and cheaper than what you are thinking!!
