I'm trying to get in shape before I go to army basic training?

Question by : I'm trying to get in shape before I go to army basic training?
I'm not fat or anything, just reallyy out of shape.
What types of exercises should I do?
How often...how many hours per day?
Should it be every day, or every other day?
What foods/drinks should I start to intake, and which ones should I avoid?

Exercise Equipment I have : a pull up bar (that kind that latches onto your door) and it can also be taken down to be used for push ups, an exercise ball, a punching bag and boxing gloves,weights

run
pull ups
build uo your stamina so when you go on those runs you will be ready. ALso put a backpack on with a bunch of weight in it so you can experience what its like to carry that giant back pack
