So I'm 17, and I'm not fat, but I do have a problem area that holds weight. Its a common place in girls, its the "muffin top" area. I noticed that I have been carrying more weight there than normal. I don't want to go losing a ton of weight or whatever but i would like to drop the extra that I gained and keep it off. So do you have any suggestions on how to shrink this area and/or keep weight off of it? Thanks everyone!

Hi,
Here's the bad news, there is no such thing as spot reduction, meaning you can't just work on one area of your body and expect the fat from that area to go away. The way the body use fat is very systematic, the fat around your waist, butt and thighs are the last fat to be used when your body burns fat for calories.
The only sure fire way to lose that fat is to do cardio and maintain a balanced diet. Start out easy by figuring at a good meal plan that includes leafy veggies, fruits, lean proteins and whole grains. Hope that helps!
