I'm gonna start working out again and I want to find a good regimen.
Are there any websites that will build one for me?
Do you know of any good routines or exercises?
I am 17and don't participate in sports. I prefer to avoid cardio except for walking. I used to work out and my body builds muscle pretty quickly. I am looking to tone my entire body and build some respectable (but attractive) muscle, which I have struggled with because It is hard for me to find exercises that tone some of the more awkward muscles of the female body like the back and shoulders.
I like simple exercises that I can do and know that I'm doing them right! This is very important to me!
-->Also, what exercise equipment (floor mat, step-up thing, weights[what size]) should I get?
Best answer:
For starters, I know you don't care for cardio, but that is the way to really tone your body. While you can build muscles, it doesn't matter if they are covered by a layer of fat. I would recommend a circuit training workout, with some cardio work. Walking, if brisk enough, will work. But try the elliptical machine or bike for variety. It also works different muscle groups. The elliptical machine requires good posture, so can help strengthen your core as well.
As far as equipment, if you aren't joining a gym, then you need hand wieghts. I recommend a 2, 5 and 10 lb set. Women don't need to bulk up, and that will be sufficient to tone your muscles. Of course, good bras and shoes are essential. But you really don't need much else. You can do sit-ups, push-ups and other toning exercises without anything at all. If you want a floor mat, go for it, but I never found it neccesary if you are working out on carpet.

Many homeowners dream of installing a beautiful hardwood floor in their house; the lovely wood grain texture provides an appealing aesthetic and a strong floor option for busy households. However, this expensive flooring choice does require particular care over the years so that it can retain its original beauty. Certain cleaning tools and chemicals are not compatible with the wood's surface. A few key tips will help homeowners protect and clean the hardwood for a perfect aesthetic everyday.
Foot Traffic
Does the home have a lot of family members or visitors walking across the hardwood floor? If so, many homeowners find that placing floor mats at key entry points, such as just inside the front door threshold, will prevent excessive dust and debris from being trampled inside with shoes. These tiny particles can slowly scrape away at the hardwood's surface, creating a dull and damaged appearance. However, the floor mats must not have a rubber backing; homeowners need to choose mats that have hardwood floor approved material to prevent accidental scratches.
Alternatively, homeowners can insist on no shoes within the home. This strategy is especially helpful if people are wearing tall stiletto shoes. The pressure placed against the tall heel can easily damage hardwood flooring over time.
Sweeping and Vacuuming
It is inevitable that dust and debris will enter the home and reside on the hardwood floor. As a result, the floor should be swept at least once a week. Vacuuming is another option; the cleaner must not have a beater bar which can scuff the hardwood flooring. Using the vacuum is a smart option, especially for the tiny, natural crevices within the floor. Dust and debris can become densely packed within the crevices which can contribute to a poor aesthetic. The vacuum can suck the debris from the crevices better than a standard broom.
Spills
Wood naturally absorbs liquids, causing the material to expand. As a result, homeowners need to be diligent about cleaning up spills or the wood can crack from the expansion process. Any spills should be sopped up with a sponge or towel immediately. Key areas of the home that may receive more spills than normal, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, should have strategically placed mats to absorb the liquid before it can infiltrate the flooring.
Preventing Scratches
Pets, including both cats and dogs, can easily scratch the surface of the hardwood with their nails. Homeowners need to keep the animals' nails clipped regularly to prevent these types of scratches; a professional cleaner may need to be brought in for excessive scratches across the entire flooring.
Furniture scratches and gouges are another concern for hardwood protection. Sharp or tightly rounded furniture legs will create a deep gouge in the hardwood over time from the piece's weight and from those who sit or lay on it. As a solution, protector pads should be placed under each leg to prevent these unsightly marks.
Sun Exposure
Homeowners may not realize that the sun's rays penetrating the interior do cause damage to hardwood floors from the UV (ultraviolet) radiation. Curtains and shades should be used strategically on windows to reduce the amount of light striking the interior during the day. Some homeowners go as far as placing UV resistance window tint on the glass to allow light in, but not the harmful UV rays.
Some light must enter the home, so it is also necessary to rotate the floor coverings periodically. Leaving a rug positioned in the same location on the hardwood floor for years at a time will create an uneven look to the hardwood; there will be a darkened square where the rug is located and a lightened area surrounding it. Homeowners should move the rugs around so that the hardwood has a chance to lighten in an even pattern.
Overall, protecting and cleaning hardwood floors is a daily chore that needs to remain a priority. In the end, the homeowner will have a beautiful floor for many years to come.
