Tactical Solutions Ruger 22/45 Steel Challenge (and Nutnfancy Gets His Butt Kicked in Shooting)
Sometimes you rock, sometimes you suck. Here friend and crew member PFIDude cleans the Actiontarget.com "Rimfire Dueling Tree" in proper fashion and brings home the gold in this impromptu warm-up session before running the Sledgehammer Drill. While I rocked the plates at the beginning, in the point-counting run here I was lacking in hits as my trigger presses were rushed...so embarrassing. Sometimes you're the champ, sometimes the chump! More importantly however we are testing my latest modifications to one of my Ruger 22/45 Mk III pistols: a very cool and affordable grip mod, removal of magazine safety (with inclusion of Volquartsen Mk II hammer and bushing), and a superb Volquartsen trigger, Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite barrel in OD with compensator, and Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight; all of which are running the first time on this particular frame. The resulting gun is a dream to shoot and is fast, reliable (apparently even with cheap bulk ammo), and accurate. Second kind of cool is off the charts as well. Again we see that high quality companies like Tactical Solutions and Volquartsen provide accessories that can elevate your Ruger to higher levels of cool and performance. More to follow!

This one does: showing over three years of shooting and testing of three Tactical Solutions PacLite uppers. I cover the considerations of weight savings, accuracy, durability, reliability, value, accessories, colorations, and ergonomics of the PacLite conversion. The excellent Silencerco Sparrow .22 suppressor is also shown in action; a durable and quiet addition to the PacLite upper. But if you've gone this far, go a little further and really turbo charge your trusty Ruger: also shown are my mods are the TT Custom handgrips and a user-installed Volquartsen trigger installation (including removal of mag disconnect safety and bolt release detent; reference video www.youtube.com ). These mods transform your very-serviceable Ruger 22/45 or Mark II/III pistol into something more elevated, cooler, and yes even more "tactical." They are a dream to carry in the field, handle, and shoot in your drills. These American made CNC 6061 T6 barrels feature a 4140 steel liner and will last as long as the stock pistols. This quality, as it usually does, costs a bit but I've seen other ...
