I have a health-o-meter digital scale...will the scale still show true weight if the battery is old?

Question by Rain: I have a health-o-meter digital scale...will the scale still show true weight if the battery is old?

Best answer:
Yeah, i'm pretty sure it will.

What is an LCR Meter?

Article by Richard Daniels

A device which is used for testing a piece of equipment's electrical impedance is called an LCR meter. This type of meter is able to identify the measurement of a particular object's resistance to a continuous electrical current. These meters are very helpful when working with an alternating current or AC. These can pinpoint the relative difference in degree of the repeated variants of the current and voltage, known as amplitudes. What Are Some Of The Uses For A LCR Meter? One of the main properties that LCR meters can test is inductance. This is described as the change in the flow of electrical current through a specific circuit and a device like a resistor that prevents that change. This is known as electromotive force. Due to the fact that some electrical currents create magnetic fields that can lower the rate of change in the electrical current, the LCR meter can measure the actual ratio of the magnetic flux.LCRs can also measure the capacity for objects to continually hold an electrical charge. This is what is called a capacitance. The meter can easily test the level of electrical charge that is stored at a certain point referred to as the electric potential. This is generally measured in volts, and this indicates the precise static charge that is in the object's electric field. When a person measures strict electrical resistance, a LCR meter will help to determine the precise opposition of the particular current. A component that has an unvarying width is going to have a resistance that is proportional to its length. This is very helpful for determining the accurate design of components that contain circuits. The component part which is being measured by a LCR meter is referred to as the device under test or DUT. A variety of different types of industries use this type of testing to make sure that an electrical product is working properly. For example, when a video game system is removed from the assembly line, most of the time this type of meter will be used to carry out a final examination of the system to verify that it works correctly. Electrical power will be connected to the device and then the meter will test the video game system to make sure there are no problems. The complete LCR unit tests are usually carried out in a short time period but that usually depends on the type of device that is being tested. Generally, after the correct AC voltage source has been connected, the current and voltage will both be measured at the same time. Even though this is not always a foolproof method for fully testing assembled product items, it does the job very effectively for individual components.LCR meters can be purchased in a couple of different formats, such as digital or analog. Analog meters are typically more cost-effective because most of the time they are produced with basic components. On the other hand, a digital multimeter will offer more accurate measurements and many times are more expensive. These types of meters are available in smaller dimensions and weights too.
