How should weight lifting gloves properly fit?

Question by Chachee: How should weight lifting gloves properly fit?
I want to buy some weight lifting gloves but I am unsure about the size. Should they be skin tight or have some slack? Also, should the glove stop below or at the knuckle?
I tried on out a couple pairs. The medium size was kind of tight and small and the large seems a a bit loose and long. I am not sure which ones to get.

Any advice?

Best answer:
You're protecting your palms, so it honestly is more for whatever you're more comfortable with. Too slack and you may run the risk of the weights sliding, too tight and you may not be able to grasp your hand firmly enough.

I have a friend who enjoys weight lifting and by using weight gloves it helps him achieve safe body fitness by avoiding premature injuries as stated below:

a. StrengthYou can use these to build more strength in the shoulders as you make repeated weight lifts as many times as you would like. The gloves add grip and comfort to your hands when lifting weight lifting equipment such as dumbbells and barbells that have very rough surfaces. You need enough strength and ability to continue carrying heavy weights in small adjustments.

b. StaminaWeighted gloves have been designed to add weights on the body in addition to making your body muscles flexible to sustain very heavy weights. The gloves can also build your stamina and strength of the muscles and joints on the legs, arms, shoulders and neck so as to support any weight lifted above your foreheads.

You can also improve on your body stability and strength by these gloves which are found in different shapes and sizes. They need only to be changed when performing and lifting different types of weights that are intended to empower your biceps and triceps.

c. Blisters and Calluses PreventionYou can protect your hands, muscles, and ligaments from injuries and blisters by using the weight lifting gloves which can absorb pressure and strain when performing your exercises. Add comfort and protection to your wrists from calluses and pain that occurs from daily strenuous training. The weight gloves acts as a remedy for all the discomforts you may encounter when exercising and performing all your routine workouts.

It is in your best interest to protect your body from strenuous pain and uncontrolled pressure and these gloves can prevent those issues. You only need to buy standard quality gloves and make a habit to wear them every time you begin any weight lifting exercise.
