Okay, so we got this when we bought the contents of a storage unit and there's a Weider (wieder?) 8510 weight machine, and i can't find a price for it online. It's been discontinued by manufacturers, does that depreciate the value?
Thanks :)

Weight Machines Are Only Good Space Fillers
Article by Taylor Ryan
As I sat around resting between my exercises last night, I couldn't help but watch everyone around me. I was surprised to see how many women (and men) were relying on the weight machines for their workouts. I think there were about 3 of us in the free weight zone and about 15 people walking from machine to machine.
I don't know why, but it still surprises me how many women are scared to try out a form of fitness that actually works.
Fixed path of motion. With the fixed range of motion, the machine makes you move a certain path. Often the path is not functional to real life or atheletics.
Not always designed to fit. Sure you can adjust the machines to fit your height and body size but let me just tell you, sometimes it doesn't go right. I am 5'5 and as a girl I have a hard time on some machines. They just do not go small enough for me to have proper form. I think I may assume the machines were designed by guys for guys. Not fair!
Targeted muscles. Machines are not made to target multiple muscle groups, they target only one specific group which means you have to do just about every machine in there to hit everything! It would take 4 exercises on machines to cover everything that doing squats hit. Also muscles are not getting the benefit of having their assistant movers and stabilizers working with them.
Here are the 4 major reasons why these machines should not be the backbone of your workout...
Wondering eyes. Do you think that the machines are a good place to learn skills and are safer? Not quite, because of the ease you are more likely to pay less attention so you're not working out very hard and you are increasing injury risk.
The bottom line... free weights are the way for women's strength training to get maximum results. Don't be scared to venture into the other side of the gym.
