dizzy, only while standing still?

Question by ash: dizzy, only while standing still?
i'm in really good shape... i workout for at LEAST an hour a day... i do an hour of cardio, and most days i also lift weights for a half hour. i did yoga once or twice a week until i got pregnant and felt it was straining for me. the point is, i'm very active and feel good being so active. but then, sometimes when i have to stand for even ten minutes (for example waiting in a shopping line that moves slowly, or durring the standing to sing parts at church... bumping into friends and standing to talk to them for a little bit) i get very dizzy, lightheaded and sometimes start to sweat and feel like i will throw up if i don't respond to the feeling. i feel like i would probably black out if i didn't sit down or start moving very quickly when i start feeling that way. this doesn't make sence to me. i used to work in retail where i stood almost all day, and never had this happen (because i was moving about the store, cleaning or straightening racks... etc) but when i can't move quickly it just sneaks up on me. why can i be on my feet for very long periods with no trouble, but can't stand for ten minutes!

i am currently six months pregnant and so it's a scarier feeling when it happens, and i think it may be happening more now that i am prego, but this was something i dealt with prepregnancy...

anyone know anything about this!?!

Best answer:
I can tell you that I had a bout with this a few years ago and it came down to blood pressure, it was very low, which can be a good thing, but can be bad if you get to the point of fainting, etc... I spent over 5,000 at a heart specialist to find out in the end that I was in need of water. WATER! I almost laughed at them, until I tried it, I now drink 2-4 glasses a day, and no more dizzy spells..it is an easy try, so I think you have nothing to loose. I learned that some people need more water than others and dehydration is a very common problem, and the main symptom is dizzy while standing. Good luck to you.

Is an HP rack server highly efficient?

Article by Vincent Rogers

The new range of HP rack servers are designed for strength, stability, and efficiency. They provide an effective solution for companies that need a highly efficient, yet low-risk email, networking and messaging system. These servers are designed to deliver optimum performance whilst reducing the amount of time spent on keeping them running. HP makes some big claims in promoting their new rack servers; can the technology live up to all the hype?

Structure

HP offers a wide range of sizes, offering greater flexibility and efficiency for meeting each need.

The rack server structure is constructed from extra-strong steel that has been folded seven times. The structures have undergone dynamic vibration testing, drop testing, tilt and weight testing to ensure that they will provide incredible strength and stability that you can depend on.

The structure is very well designed, providing optimal cable management (a must in any office environment), as well as rear extension kits for up to 200mm of added flexibility. With HP's FlexFabric architecture, cabling can be reduced by up to 90 percent in a server enclosure. The split rear doors provide more efficient access to vital components.

HP rack servers now utilise technology that offers increase cooling efficiency. The front and rear doors are perforated to increase air flow, and a rack air duct eliminates the danger of hotspots.

Performance

These servers enable companies to increase server capacity while drastically reducing energy consumption. Up to 23 single-core servers can be consolidated onto a single HP machine, providing incredible energy efficiency and fantastic savings for any company.

These servers are memory-dense, delivering a dramatic improvement in performance compared to previous generations. HP's PREMA architecture can handle enormous workloads completely within the memory, rather than swapping to disk or loading portions of data. This provides an incredible boost in work efficiency.

Enhanced performance and memory capacity are what stand out with HP's rack servers. The rack servers offer six-, eight- or twelve-core processors, and support up to 1GB of memory, allowing for efficient task execution. HP has also created a "self-healing resiliency" architecture that has been developed to protect database applications.

Conclusion

HP has made some big claims regarding their rack servers; fortunately, the results are there to back up those claims. The new technology included in their servers has done wonders to curtail the "server sprawl" that has taken over so much space and energy in today's companies. These servers are providing an effective solution to energy efficiency and are allowing businesses to reclaim the space (both physical and virtual) once occupied by the massive servers of previous generations.
