I have taken up weight training recently and love it so much more than cardio. What is a good program to follow to get maximum benefit from weight training?

If you are looking for a workout plan there are plenty that can be found online. Basically the first thing you should do is decide how you want to break down your workout days. For example, one day ill do back/biceps, another day ill do chest triceps, and another day ill do legs and shoulders. Once you do that it comes down to basically finding out which exercises you like doing best, but you should never workout a muscle group more than twice a week. Once a week is good, two is plenty, and three is too much. One thing to note is that if you are working out, you will probably be gaining weight as your muscles get stronger. If you are looking for a way to lose weight there are plenty of books and plans that have ways to lose weight, such as the book "how to lose 10 pounds"
