Get The Weight Off Fast--But Does It Stay Off?
Article by Callan Hawley
"I want to get the weight off fast!" How many times have you heard those words? I was saying them myself for years.Getting weight off fast has become an entire industry in this country. The problem is not really to get the weight off fast but to keep it off. Confession here: I was a serial dieter. I have tried most everything out there at least once. Some diets will get the weight off fast, or reasonably so, but I always ended up gaining it back and then some! The trouble is, most diets don't trully work because they are too restrictive and difficult to stay on for any lengthof time. Dieting and exercise are a great combination, but again, on a restrictive diet, I felt deprived and would invariably start cheating. Let's face it, we're not used to being deprived in our culture and our bodies have becomeaccustomed to instant gratification as much as our minds! But every time I broke off my diet, I felt disgusted. I wanted to get the weight off permanently but I just couldn'tmanage it. Fortunately, I did keep up my gym membership and you know, a strange thing happened--I actually started to feel better about myself! While exercising was time consuming and not really my thing, I did notice an overall improvementin my health and my weight began to even out as well. My trainer recommended two diet programs to me and explained why they were different from the norm. They had funny sounding names Strip that Fatand Fat Loss 4 Idiots, but I willing to listen. The thing about these twoprograms is they're very easy to use. They have diet generators that tell you exactly what to eat (you don't have to count calories or points or anything) and you are not nearly as restricted as you are on normal diets. They were also inexpensive and came with money back guarantees. Strip That Fat claimed to be "the last diet you'll ever need," which, with my history,I found appealing, to say the least. I tried it and ended up losing 40 lbs in six months and I've kept them off for the last four. I'm actuallystill losing. I've kept exercising too and I feel better than I have since my teenage years (that was a while ago!) So what have I learned from all this? That, as with anything else in life, it you want to get the weight off you need to be patient and workwith a sensible diet and exercise program. You can get the weight off fast, or you can learn how to properly care for your body, and keep theweight off permanently. Yes, it takes time and a bit of a mindframe adjustment, but slow and easy beats fast and furious in the long run. My advice: set goals that are realistic and attainable, learn how to eat and exercise properly and you'll find you can take the weight off forever!
Here are two excellent diet options: Strip that Fat and Fat Loss 4 IdiotsBoth are safe and effective but adding a good exercise routine will only move you more quickly toward your goal. You can do this, just don't try to go too fast. Haste really does make waste; of time, money and ego!
