"PULLS FROM THE RACK" IMPROVE TWO FOOT EXPLOSIVENESS!!!! JUMP HIGHER!!!!!

ScottThom.com "Pulls from the rack" is a bilateral (two foot) exercise that will improve your explosiveness off two feet. It will also strengthen the movement patterns for Power Cleans, Hang Cleans, and the Snatch. All of which should be in your workout regiment if you are serious about improving your athletic explosiveness!!!! Set the bar on the rack (mid thigh), set your back (chest out, ass out), knuckles down, shoulder blades pinched together, then drive the bar up explosively, vision forward, finishing the exercise with a shrug. Let the weight fall to the rack, do not control the weight, straps will be needed when going heavy. Create a great day!!!!! -Coach T

JOHN DEERE 750 COMPACT UTILITY TRACTOR RECEIVER

I modified the front weight rack by adding a front bumper and a 2 receiver. This is very handy. As you can see I have barbell weights in the receiver and I can change it out to carry several different hitches. One that works well is an expanded metal cargo carrier. If I want to return the weight back to the original all that I have to do is remove the bumper and the receiver.

Question by Scottsays: General gym etiquette.?
It seems the gym is getting worse and worse every day, it is so frustrating. If you are new to lifting weights, or an old timer like me and just got lazy please review some basic gym rules. If you want to look like you know what you are doing, and not make any enemies in the gym, try these:

-When you are done with your weights, put them back where they belong (not neccessarily where you found them). I hate looking for a pair of 50lbs dumbells and finding one on the floor by the squat rack and one in the 20lbs spot on the rack. Or standing there wondering if someone is using this bench, because there is still weight on it. When you are done with a cable machine - unhook the grip you used so people know its open.
- Sitting and talking at the gym is fine, I understand not everyone works out at my pace and likes to bs with their partner between sets, but don't lean on machines, sit on benches, and take up valuable workout space for social hour.
- Never wear cologne or perfume to the gym. It is absolutely nauseating to be in the middle of a set and a cloud of sweet-smelling perfume/cologne hits you. Everyone stinks, everyone is sweaty, dont worry about it - its a gym.
- Bring a towel or wipe your sweat up. If you jump on a bench do a quick set, no big deal. But when you get up, look at the bench. If there is a puddle of sweat there, clean it up!!! nasty! Every gym has a bottle of spray cleaner and paper towels available.

The gym should be fun. Just be respectful of others if you want to look like you know what you are doing in there. Dont be the person everyone hates to see in the gym. Like "cellphone guy" in my gym.. don't get me started on him.
