Question by hi there: weighted work out vests?
I started using a 20lbs weighted vest while hiking and I love the workout I get. A passerby said its bad for the spine...is it???
I don't have any back pain...but I feel it in my legs.

Like any other excercise if improper can have the potential to damage. I use weight vests as well and can be an awesome workout. With the added weight it is just necessary to keep good posture as with any lifting so as to not put pressure on the back. Should you feel any discomfort you should either adjust or stop. The only other problem could be in a slip, trip, fall situation where the added weight could cause problems.
