Adjustable Weight Bench

Question by weightbegin: I just got weights and weight bench and I have NO idea where/how to start?
Can someone EXPERIENCED with beginning weight lifting please give me some specific advice to just at least get me started for first few days?
I will educate myself as i go along but for right now, i just dont know where to start.

I want to start tomorrow, right after (or before?) my morning run.

the weight bench is not real fancy but it has one of those leg curl things on it that also doubles as a curling thing once you put this extra part on it.

Also my weights are 5lbs, 10lbs and 20lbs (100lb set ) and i have the 2 mini bars also

thanks for any info!

Best answer:
first day do bench press, military press(straight up over head with barbell) and curls, next day do triceps, forearms and work the legs. Switching off days allows the muscles that tore, to heal and get ready to tear again. With each excercise, start out with max weight you can handle at 2-5 reps. Then drop down in weight 2-3 times, increasing in reps. Although you will be dropping in weight it will still feel like a ton because your muscles will be tired from the max still. Breathe out while lifting, breathe in while letting down.

What do you think? Answer below!
